57:1. Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

57:2. To Him belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth. He controls life and death. He is Omnipotent.

57:3. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the Outermost and the Innermost. He is fully aware of all things.

57:4. He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days,* then assumed all authority. He knows everything that enters into the earth, and everything that comes out of it, and everything that comes down from the sky, and everything that climbs into it. He is with you wherever you may be. God is Seer of everything you do.

*57:4 The six days of creation are simply a yardstick to inform us of the relative importance of various components, to emphasize the significance of the planet Earth, and to let us know that the Earth is the only inhabited planet. See Footnote 41:9-10.

57:5. To Him belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth. All matters are controlled by God.

57:6. He merges the night into the day, and merges the day into the night. He is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.

57:7. Believe in God and His messenger, and give from what He has bestowed upon you. Those among you who believe and give (to charity) have deserved a great recompense.

57:8. Why should you not believe in God when the messenger is inviting you to believe in your Lord? He has taken a pledge from you, if you are believers.

57:9. He is the One who sends down to His servant clear revelations, in order to lead you out of the darkness into the light. God is Compassionate towards you, Most Merciful.

57:10. Why do you not spend in the cause of God, when God possesses all wealth in the heavens and the earth? Distinguished from the rest are those among you who spend before the victory and strive. They attain a greater rank than those who spend after the victory and strive. For each, God promises salvation. God is Cognizant of everything you do.

57:11. Who would like to loan God a loan of righteousness, to have it multiplied for him manifold, and end up with a generous recompense?

57:12. The day will come when you see the believing men and women with their lights radiating ahead of them and to their right. Good news is yours that, on that day, you will have gardens with flowing streams. You will abide therein forever. This is the great triumph.

57:13. On that day, the hypocrite men and women will say to those who believed, "Please allow us to absorb some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you, and seek light." A barrier will be set up between them, whose gate separates mercy on the inner side, from retribution on the outer side.

57:14. They will call upon them, "Were we not with you?" They will answer, "Yes, but you cheated your souls, hesitated, doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until God's judgment came. You were diverted from God by illusions.

57:15. "Therefore, today no ransom can be taken from you, nor from those who disbelieved. Your abode is the fire; it is your lord, and miserable abode."

57:16. Is it not time for those who believed to open up their hearts for God's message, and the truth that is revealed herein? They should not be like the followers of previous scriptures whose hearts became hardened with time and, consequently, many of them turned wicked.

57:17. Know that God revives the land after it had died. We thus explain the revelations for you, that you may understand.

57:18. Surely, the charitable men and women have loaned God a loan of goodness. They will receive their reward multiplied manifold; they have deserved a generous recompense.

57:19. Those who believed in God and His messengers are the saints and martyrs. Reserved for them at their Lord are their rewards and their light. As for those who disbelieved and rejected our revelations, they have incurred Hell.

57:20. Know that this worldly life is no more than play and games, and boasting among you, and hoarding of money and children. It is like abundant rain that produces plants and pleases the disbelievers. But then the plants turn into useless hay, and are blown away by the wind. In the Hereafter there is either severe retribution, or forgiveness from God and approval. This worldly life is no more than a temporary illusion.

57:21. Therefore, you shall race towards forgiveness from your Lord, and a Paradise whose width encompasses the heaven and the earth. It awaits those who believed in God and His messengers. Such is God's grace that He bestows upon whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Infinite Grace.

57:22. Anything that happens on earth, or to you, has already been recorded, even before the creation. This is easy for God to do.

*57:22 We are absolutely free to side with God, or with Satan. God happens to know precisely what kind of decision each of us will make. The video tape of your life, from birth to death, is already recorded. See Appendix 14.

57:23. Thus, you should not grieve over anything you miss, nor be proud of anything He has bestowed upon you. God does not love those who are boastful, proud.

57:24. They are stingy, and enjoin the people to be stingy. If one turns away, then God is the Rich, the Praiseworthy.

57:25. We sent our messengers supported by clear proofs, and we sent down to them the scripture and the law, that the people may uphold justice. And we sent down the iron, wherein there is strength, and many benefits for the people. All this in order for God to distinguish those who would support Him and His messengers, on faith. God is Powerful, Almighty.

57:26. We sent Noah and Abraham, and we granted their descendants prophethood and the scripture. Some of them were guided, while many were wicked.

57:27. Subsequent to them, we sent our messengers. We sent Jesus the son of Mary, and we gave him the Injeel (Gospel), and we placed in the hearts of his followers kindness and mercy. But they invented hermitism which we never decreed for them. All we asked them to do was to uphold the commandments approved by God. But they did not uphold the message as they should have. Consequently, we gave those who believed among them their recompense, while many of them were wicked.

57:28. O you who believe, you shall reverence God and believe in His messenger. He will then grant you double the reward from His mercy, endow you with light to guide you, and forgive you. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

57:29. Thus, the followers of previous scripture should know that they have not monopolized God's mercy and grace, and that all grace is in God's hand. He bestows it upon whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Infinite Grace.

57:1. வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் உள்ள ஒவ்வொன்றும் கடவுள்-ஐத் துதித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. அவர் எல்லாம் வல்லவர், ஞானம் மிகுந்தவர்.

*57:4 படைப்பின் ஆறு நாட்கள் என்பது பூமிக் கிரகத்தின் தனிச்சிறப்பை அழுத்தமாகக் கூறுவதற்காக, அதன் பல்வேறு அங்கங்களின் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று தொடர்புடைய முக்கியத்துவத்தை நமக்கு அறிவிக்கவும், மேலும் பூமி மட்டுமே வசிக்கத் தக்க கிரகமாக இருக்கின்றது என்பதை நமக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துவதற்காகவுமான ஓர் அளவுகோலாக மட்டுமே இருக் கின்றது. பார்க்க 41:9-10 ன் அடிக்குறிப்பு.

57:5. வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியின் அரசுரிமை அவருக்கே உரியது. அனைத்து விஷயங்களும் கடவுள்-ஆல் கட்டுப்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.

57:6. அவர் இரவைப் பகலுடன் படிப்படியாகக் கலக்கின்றார், மேலும் பகலை இரவுடன் படிப்படியாகக் கலக்கின்றார். உள்ளார்ந்த எண்ணங்களை முற்றிலும் அறிந்தவராக அவர் இருக்கின்றார்.

57:7. கடவுள் மற்றும் அவருடைய தூதர் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள், மேலும் அவர் உங்கள் மீது அருளியவற்றிலிருந்து வழங்குங்கள். உங்களில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு (தர்மம்) வழங்குபவர்கள் மகத்தானதொரு பிரதிபலனுக்குத் தகுதியானவர்களாகி விட்டனர்.

57:8. உங்கள் இரட்சகர் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுமாறு தூதர் உங்களை அழைக்கின்ற பொழுது நீங்கள் ஏன் கடவுள் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளக் கூடாது? நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களாக இருந்தால், உங்களிடமிருந்து ஓர் உறுதிமொழியை அவர் எடுத்திருக்கின்றார்.

57:9. அவர்தான் உங்களை இருளிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றி வெளிச்சத்திற்குள் வழிநடத்துவதற்காக, தன்னுடைய ஊழியருக்குத் தெளிவான வெளிப்பாடுகளை இறக்கி அனுப்பியவர். கடவுள் உங்கள்பால் இரக்கமுள்ளவராக, மிக்க கருணையாளராக இருக்கின்றார்.

57:10. வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் உள்ள அனைத்துச் செல்வங்களையும் கடவுள் தன்வசம் வைத்திருக்கின்ற போது, ஏன் நீங்கள் கடவுள்-ன் நிமித்தம் செலவு செய்யாதிருக்கின்றீர்கள்? உங்களில் வெற்றிக்கு முன்னரே செலவு செய்து பாடுபட்டவர்கள் மற்றவர்களிலிருந்து சிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் ஆவர். வெற்றிக்குப் பின்னர் செலவு செய்து பாடுபட்டவர்களை விட மிகவும் மேலான ஓர் அந்தஸ்தை அவர்கள் அடைகின்றனர். ஒவ்வொரு தரப்பினருக்கும் கடவுள் மீட்சியை வாக்களிக்கின்றார். நீங்கள் செய்கின்ற ஒவ்வொன்றையும் கடவுள் நன்கறிந்தவராக இருக்கின்றார்.

57:11. நன்னெறியின் ஒரு கடனை கடவுள்-க்கு கடனாக அளித்து, பன்மடங்காக அதனைத் தனக்குப் பெருக்கிக் கொள்ளவும், மேலும் தாராளமானதொரு பிரதிபலனை அடைந்து கொள்ளவும் விரும்புகின்றவர் யார்?

57:12. நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஆண்கள் மற்றும் பெண்களைத் தங்களுடைய ஒளிகளுடன் அவர்கள் முன்னாலும் வலப்புறமும் பிரகாசித்தவர்களாக நீர் காணும் அந்நாள் வரும். உங்களுக்குரிய நற்செய்தியாவது, அந்நாளில், ஆறுகள் பாய்கின்ற தோட்டங்களை நீங்கள் பெற்றிருப்பீர்கள் என்பதாகும். அதிலே நீங்கள் என்றென்றும் தங்கியிருப்பீர்கள். இதுவே மகத்தான பெரு வெற்றியாகும்.

57:13. அந்நாளில், நயவஞ்சக ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களிடம் கூறுவார்கள், தயவு செய்து உங்களுடைய ஒளியிலிருந்து கொஞ்சம் கிரகித்துக் கொள்ள எங்களை அனுமதியுங்கள். இவ்வாறு கூறப்படும், உங்களுக்குப் பின்னே திரும்பிச் சென்று ஒளியைத் தேடிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர்களுக்கிடையில் ஒரு தடுப்பு அமைக்கப்படும், அதன் வாசலானது உட்புறத்தின் கருணையை வெளிப்புறத்தின் தண்டனையிலிருந்து பிரித்து வைக்கும்.

57:14. அவர்களை அவர்கள் அழைப்பார்கள், நாங்கள் உங்களுடன் இருக்கவில்லையா? அவர்கள் பதிலளிப்பார்கள், ஆம், ஆனால் நீங்கள் கடவுள்-ன் தீர்ப்பு வரும் வரை, உங்களுடைய ஆத்மாக்களை ஏய்த்துக் கொண்டீர்கள், தயங்கினீர்கள், சந்தேகித்தீர்கள், மேலும் உங்களுடைய அபிலாஷை மிக்க எண்ணங்களால் வழிதவறியவர்கள் ஆகி விட்டீர்கள். மாயைகளின் மூலம் கடவுள்-யிடமிருந்து நீங்கள் திசை திருப்பப்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தீர்கள்.

57:15. ஆகையால், இன்றைய தினம் உங்களிடமிருந்தோ அன்றி நம்பமறுத்தவர்களிடமிருந்தோ ஈட்டுத்தொகை எதுவும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்படாது. நெருப்புதான் உங்களுடைய தங்குமிடமாக இருக்கும்; அதுவே உங்களுடைய எஜமானாகும், மேலும் துன்பகரமான தங்குமிடமாகும்.

57:16. கடவுள்-ன் செய்திக்காகவும், இதிலே வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள சத்தியத்திற்காகவும், நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்கள் தங்களுடைய இதயங்களைத் திறந்து கொள்ள வேண்டிய நேரம் இது இல்லையா? காலப்போக்கில் தங்களுடைய இதயங்கள் கடினமாகிப்போன முந்திய வேதங்களைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களைப் போன்று அவர்கள் இருக்கக் கூடாது, மேலும் அதன் விளைவாக, அவர்களில் பலர் தீயவர்களாக மாறி விட்டார்கள்.

57:17. பூமியை அது இறந்துவிட்ட பின்னர் கடவுள் உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றார் என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். நீங்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ளும் பொருட்டு, இவ்வெளிப்பாடுகளை இவ்வாறு நாம் உங்களுக்கு விவரிக்கின்றோம்.

57:18. நிச்சயமாக, தர்மம் செய்கின்ற ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், கடவுள்-க்கு நன்மையின் ஒரு கடனைக் கடனாக அளித்துள்ளனர். அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய வெகுமதியைப் பன்மடங்காகப் பெருக்கிப் பெற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள்; அவர்கள் தாராளமானதொரு பிரதிபலனுக்குத் தகுதியாகி விட்டனர்.

57:19. கடவுள் மற்றும் அவருடைய தூதர்களின் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்கள் புனிதர்களும் உயிர்த்தியாகிகளும் ஆவார்கள். அவர்களுடைய வெகுமதிகளும் அவர்களுடைய ஒளியும் அவர்களுடைய இரட்சகரிடத்தில் அவர்களுக்காக ஒதுக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து நம் வெளிப்பாடுகளை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள மறுத்தவர்களைப் பொறுத்தவரை, அவர்கள் நரகத்திற்கு உள்ளாகி விட்டார்கள்.

57:20. இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையானது வேடிக்கை மற்றும் விளையாட்டுகள், மேலும் உங்களுக்கிடையில் பெருமையடித்துக் கொள்ளுதல், மேலும் பணத்தையும் பிள்ளைகளையும் பெருக்கிக்கொள்ளுதல் ஆகியவற்றை விட அதிகம் எதுவுமில்லை என்பதை அறிந்து கெள்ளுங்கள். இது தாவரங்களை முளைப்பித்து நம்பமறுப்பவர்களை மகிழ்விக்கும் அபரிமிதமான மழையைப் போன்றதாகும். ஆனால் பின்னர் அத்தாவரங்கள் பயனற்ற கூளமாகிக் காற்றால் அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட்டு விடுகின்றன. மறுவுலகில் கடுமையான தண்டனை அல்லது கடவுள்-யிடமிருந்து மன்னிப்பும் உவப்பும் ஆகிய இரண்டில் ஒன்றே உள்ளது. இவ்வுலக வாழ்வு தற்காலிகமானதொரு மாயை என்பதை விட அதிகம் எதுவுமில்லை.

57:21. ஆகையால், நீங்கள் உங்கள் இரட்சகரிடமிருந்து மன்னிப்பு, மற்றும் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சூழ்ந்திருக்கும் அளவு அகலத்தைக் கொண்ட ஒரு சுவனத்தை நோக்கி விரைந்து செல்ல வேண்டும். கடவுள் மற்றும் அவருடைய தூதர்கள் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களுக்காக அது காத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. தான் நாடுகின்ற எவர்மீதும் அவர் அருள்கின்ற கடவுள்-ன் அருட்கொடையானது இத்தகையதேயாகும். கடவுள் எல்லையற்ற அருட்கொடையை உடையவராக இருக்கின்றார்.

57:22. பூமியின் மீதோ, அல்லது உங்களுக்கோ, நிகழ்கின்ற எந்த ஒன்றும் ஏற்கெனவே பதியப்பட்டுள்ளது, படைக்கப்படுவதற்கும் முன்னரே. இதனைச் செய்வது கடவுள்-க்கு எளிதானதேயாகும்.

*57:22 கடவுளுடனோ அல்லது சாத்தானுடனோ சேர்ந்து கொள்வதற்குப் பூரணமான சுதந்திரமுடையவர்களாக நாம் இருக்கின்றோம். நம்மில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் எந்த விதமான முடிவை எடுக்க இருக்கின்றோம் என்பதைக் கடவுள் மிகச்சரியாக அறிந்த நிலையில் இருக்கின்றார். பிறப்பிலிருந்து இறப்பு வரை உங்களுடைய வாழ்வின் ஒளிநாடா ஏற்கனவே பதியப்பட்டுள்ளது. பார்க்க பின் இணைப்பு 14.

57:23. எனவே, நீங்கள் தவற விட்ட எந்த ஒன்றுக்காகவும் நீங்கள் துக்கப்படக் கூடாது, அன்றியும் அவர் உங்கள் மீது அருளிய எந்த ஒன்றுக்காகவும் கர்வம் கொள்ளவும் கூடாது. தற்பெருமை நிறைந்தவர்களை, கர்வம் கொண்டவர்களைக் கடவுள் நேசிப்பதில்லை.

57:24. அவர்கள் கஞ்சர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர், மேலும் மக்களைக் கஞ்சர்களாக இருக்கும்படியும் ஏவுகின்றனர். ஒருவர் திரும்பிச் சென்று விட்டால், பின்னர் கடவுள் செல்வந்தர், புகழுக்குத் தகுதியானவர்.

57:25. தெளிவான சான்றுகளுடன் ஆதரிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக நம்முடைய தூதர்களை நாம் அனுப்பினோம், மேலும் மக்கள் நீதியை ஆதரிக்கும் பொருட்டு, வேதத்தையும் சட்டத்தையும் அவர்களுக்கு நாம் இறக்கி அனுப்பினோம். மேலும் நாம் இரும்பை இறக்கி அனுப்பினோம், அதில் பலமும் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பல பயன்களும் உள்ளன. இவை அனைத்தும் விசுவாசத்தின் பேரில் அவருக்கும் அவருடைய தூதருக்கும் ஆதரவளிப்பவர்கள் யார் என்பதைக் கடவுள் அடையாளம் காட்டு வதற்காகவேயாகும். கடவுள் சக்தி நிறைந்தவர், எல்லாம் வல்லவர்.

57:26. நாம் நோவாவையும் ஆப்ரஹாமையும் அனுப்பினோம், மேலும் அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியினருக்கு நபித்துவத்தையும் வேதத்தையும் அளித்தோம். அவர்களில் சிலர் வழிநடத்தப்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தனர், அதேசமயம் பலர் தீயவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

57:27. அவர்களுக்குப் பிறகும், நம்முடைய தூதர்களை நாம் அனுப்பினோம். மேரியின் மகன் ஜீஸஸை நாம் அனுப்பினோம், மேலும் இன்ஜீலை (சுவிசேஷம்) நாம் அவருக்குத் தந்தோம், மேலும் அவரைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களின் இதயங்களில் கனிவையும் கருணையையும் நாம் அமைத்தோம். ஆனால் அவர்களுக்கு நாம் ஒருபோதும் விதித்திராத துறவித்தனத்தை அவர்கள் கண்டுபிடித்துக் கொண்டனர். அவர்களிடம் நாம் செய்யும்படிக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டதெல்லாம், கடவுள்-ஆல் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட கட்டளைகளை உயர்த்திப் பிடிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே. ஆனால் அவர்கள் செய்திருக்க வேண்டியவாறு அத்தூதுச் செய்தியை அவர்கள் உயர்த்திப் பிடிக்கவில்லை. எனவே, அவர்களுக் கிடையில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களுக்கு, அவர்களுக்குரிய பிரதிபலனை நாம் கொடுத்தோம், அதே சமயம் அவர்களில் பலர் தீயவர்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

57:28. நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே உங்களைத்தான், நீங்கள் கடவுள்-யிடம் பக்தியோடிருக்கவும், மேலும் அவருடைய தூதர் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவும் வேண்டும். அப்போது அவர் தன்னுடைய கருணையிலிருந்து இருமடங்கு வெகுமதியை உங்களுக்கு வழங்குவார், உங்களை வழிநடத்துவதற்காக உங்களுக்கு ஒளியைக் கொடையளிப்பார், மேலும் உங்களை மன்னிப்பார். கடவுள் மன்னிப்பவர், மிக்க கருணையாளர்.

57:29. எனவே, முந்திய வேதத்தைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்கள், கடவுள்-ன் கருணைக்கும் அருளுக்கும் ஏகபோகத்தை அவர்கள் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லை என்றும், மேலும் அருட்கொடை அனைத்தும் கடவுள்-ன் கரத்திலேயே உள்ளது என்றும் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். தான் நாடுகின்ற எவர் மீதும் அவர் அதனை அருள்கின்றார். கடவுள் எல்லையற்ற அருளை உடையவர்.
